Ilchi Lee on Brain Flexibility

From a translated lecture by Ilchi Lee

Many people can’t play with their brains; instead, they live treating their brains as if they are delicate and untouchable. If a person who claims to know her brain lives in this way, then she has been caught up in emotion. To say that she has been caught up in emotion is to say that her brain is tense. First, we must make our brains flexible and we must take back our brains from emotion. Only then can we make ourselves happy. That is healing. When our consciousness changes, our lives change immediately.

Not only our consciousness changes, but our body changes a LOT when I can find the way to change my thinking. When I change my thinking, negative emotions fall away. Miraculously, so do the pains in my body. My life and my body feel very comfortable to be in once again! Amazing!! This is true “healing”!

Change Your Thinking, Change Your Destiny

From a translated lecture by Ilchi Lee

“It’s said, isn’t it, that if you change your thinking, you change your destiny? What’s important, though, is how to cultivate your thinking in a good direction. For example, let’s say we’re doing some knitting. When we first start, our stitches don’t amount to anything, but if we continue knitting, we can create things like socks and sweaters and hats. Thinking is just like knitting. So we should continue to develop our thinking.”

As I was driving home last night, I realized that when I change my thoughts about a situation, then my whole body condition changes. Whereas before it was tense and stressful, just the mere acceptance in my brain about the nature of the event changed everything! I was amazed to find the true connection in creating a healthy body for myself! Thank you, Ilchi Lee and Brain Education!

Ilchi Lee on the Current Educational System

From a translation of Ilchi Lee’s book The Power of the Brain

Currently, all standards of school education are adjusted to the needs of the school rather than those of the child, to the teacher or administrator rather than the learner. And the method of teaching, too, is heavily weighted toward unilateral indoctrination rather than individual intellectual development…

Ilchi Lee: How to Capture the Sea

From Ilchi Lee’s book The Twelve Enlightenments

We are trying to capture the sea by throwing a net into it.  How, then, can we obtain the sea?  Why do we just keep on casting the net?  We should throw away the net and just jump into the sea, playing with the wave and frothing along with the white foam.  The sea will receive you only when you throw yourself into its embraces.  You and the sea will become one.  Only then can you say that you have obtained the sea.

Ilchi Lee on the Study of Living

From Ilchi Lee’s book The Twelve Enlightenments

Our character is formed through the process of interactions with others during which we make choices, are judged by our choices, reflect upon others’ judgments, and adjust ourselves accordingly.  Although we suffer temporary pangs of pain during this process, we may nurture a harmonious and virtuous character that resembles the heaven and the earth, a character unimpeded by neither obstacles nor impediments.  Since this can only be done in society co-existing with others, the study of living is crucial.

Why Brain Education?

The brain is the beginning and end of your life. As your brain waves are first activated, your life is activated as well. When your brain waves cease, your life comes to an end. Your whole life is recorded and stored in your brain as conscious and subconscious memory. In addition, your brain contains the history of millions of years of evolution, as well as the characteristics and abilities that are unique to human beings

The brain holds the secret of infinite potential

All behaviors, memories, thoughts, and habits have corresponding neural circuits in the brain. These circuits come together to form who we are now.  Theoretically, the number of neural circuits that the human brain can create by combining connections between nerve cells exceeds the number of atoms in the entire universe. This infinite combination of connections gives us, literally, infinite potential.

3rd International Brain HSP Olympiad

Last month, I had the honor to attend and participate in this amazing international event. A New Challenge for the Brain!
There were children and adults from all over the world, coming together for a new kind of olympiad to expand the definitions of brain potential and ability.

It was so inpsiring! It gives me a lot of hope for the world!

as you wish

In the movie the princess bride, Wesley is always answering to the princess “as you wish” to any request.

Neal Donald Walsh also talks about this concept in his Converstions with God books. He says the way to really care for others is “my wish for you is your wish for you.”

I see Ilchi Lee as someone who is actualizing this concept in such a deep way by giving people training to help them awaken what they really want from their inside and by giving them tools to make their personal visions into a reality.

There Are No Good Brains or Bad Brains

From a translation of Ilchi Lee’s book Know Your Brain, Know Happiness

There are no good brains or bad brains. All brains have potential greater than their genetic characteristics. Two things are needed to develop this potential: the faith of the child’s parents in her potential and the child’s confidence in herself. The power of the child’s brain is amplified when other people believe in her and she believes in herself. This is also true for adults.
