Ever since I was a little kid I would think no matter how smart I am there will always be someone smarter. No matter how strong I am there will always be someone stronger, prettier, taller whatever. Always comparing myself and needing to “measure up”, striving to work harder and causing myself so much stress. Now I am learning to use this habit to achieve my vision but with different energy. Just switching my brain from not being good enough to being diligent in my goals and vision has taken away so much stress. Updating my habits that don’t serve me or my goals is giving me so much freedom! I love brain respiration . It has changed my life.

The principle of “live & let live” is the principle of harmony. The human body gets sick when it loses harmony. ~”The Way to Light up Your Divinity” by Ilchi Lee.
In the past, I have experienced great disharmony with my body, and only since my training with Dahn and Dr. Ilchi Lee, have I expereinced tremendous harmony. I strive to always be harmonious and accept all.

The world is a rose; smell it and pass it to your friends.
- Persian Proverb
The earth is beautiful, shared by all, but not always taken care of. I wish we, as a humanity, could realize this and begin really ’sharing’ instead of desiring to ‘own’; ‘taking care of’ instead of ‘ignoring’. To this end, I keep going. It would be a wonderful thing to be able to pass the earth on to future generation still as beautiful as ever. Who’s up for that?

“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” ~ Carl Jung
As with Dahn training – it’s all about looking inside. I’ve learned (and experienced) that EVERYTHING is WITHIN!
I always want to “awaken” and not just “dream”.

Training Dahnmudo is an awakening journey!
One of my favorite trainings is Dahn Gong 12 Jin Kyeong. Basically, 12 forms that, if done consistently, can lead to enlightenment. I notice whenever I train the 12 forms, my body awakens to a whole new “me”. Also, any 3rd & 4th chakra issue is released. I LOVE these forms!!!

One morning I woke up because of a horrible migraine - something I’ve had since I was about 15 years old. They come usually 2x monthly and hang out for about 5 days – roller coastering in severity. Anyhow, this particular morning I inutitively started to breathe through my 7th chakra, circulate the energy in my brain, and breathe out through my fingertips. I then started to circulate the energy around my brain with my hands…then, I began to move my body in a “stretching” sort of Dahn Mu. 40 minutes later my mirgraine was gone - never to return in the next 5 days.
This was WAY HUGE for me! I had only been taking classes for (barely) 4 months and I had found a way to rid myself of these terrible headaches.
Thank you, Dr. Ilchi Lee, and all the wonderful Instructors – all I did was follow what we do in class and what I’ve learned through reading Healing Technology.

I signed on to Dahn Yoga October 3, 2003. I had been having back problems, a lot of arthritis and could not lose weight. At the Energy Checkup, I was told that one of the benefits of doing the Dahn Yoga would be to lose weight. To me that was a bonus. The first four months I went from 166 pounds to 140 without changing how I ate. Each year brought better flexibility and superb health. I would be asked what medications I was on and when I said none, there was disbelief. People my age (63) take medicines. I still was working full time for the National Institutes of Health, Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and working evenings at the
Bethesda
Center. I also had taken BR Training in November 2004 and was asked if I could teach a children’s class at
Gaithersburg. I started a class in late August 2004 and did Saturday morning classes until November 2005. I kept adding more and more training to my growth and taught classes on some evenings and some Saturday mornings. I loved teaching as the energy was tremendous. My arthritis has disappeared and the two spondolothetesis I have no longer cause me pain. My weight after retirement and Dahn Mu Do training for 10 days reached 125. The Dahn Mu Do also corrected two skeletal problems I had, my left collarbone was higher than the right meaning I did not stand straight and I had a lot of imbalance in my pelvis area. The first problem occurred at age 6 months, the second occurred due to many damages to my lower back (broken tailbone 13 times), smashed disc in lower back, etc. Within the first four days of Dahn Mu Do training my skeleton was straight and still is. My flexibility is very good for my age my health has been excellent. I did run into a health bump in February. I was diagnosed with a breast cell tumor in the left arm pit that is cancerous. The cancer triggered an autoimmune disease called “dermatomyocitis”. I was losing muscle cells into the blood. I started chemotherapy on April 17 this year and I have kept working at the Center. I cannot teach at this time or do intense physical training, but I have kept up with home practice and take a class now and then and have amazed the physicians and oncologist with how I am taking the whole process. I thank my training for keeping me positive, active and energized. I will share Dahn Yoga with the Cancer community any way possible to help others with the disease. I have received an amazing amount of love and caring from staff and members of Dahn Yoga and look forward to many many more years of practice and getting back to participating fully after my treatment regimen finishes. I thank Dahn Yoga for where I am in my life and where I will be going. I would recommend this practice for every human who wishes to be joyful, peaceful and creative.

I have been a Dahn member for almost one year. When I started in July of 2006, my purpose was to improve my physical health and to become a more peaceful person. I had lived most of my life with a dark attitude towards life; I was often angry or sad. As I look back, my original expectations have been greatly exceeded. Not only is my physical health improved, for example, periodic severe lower back pain from an old injury is no longer an issue since I’ve strengthened my lower back, oblique and abdominal muscles with the Doen exercises. In addition to these tangible physical health benefits, I’ve experienced psychological and spiritual benefits. By psychological benefits, I mean my emotional life is generally healthier, I’m angry less often and behave quite differently in situations that I have in the past. I tend to deal much better with the strong emotions of anger and have become more peaceful. The people I’m closest to have observed this change including my family members. I credit this improvement to the general classes but also to the healing sessions attended with Master Brianna and to the Power Brain training I participated in. The spiritual part is more difficult to describe, but I would say that for a number of years before I started the practice of Dahn training, I generally felt that my life did not have a lot of meaning and that I did not have a clear direction or purpose. I felt like I was going through the motions like a robot carrying out my responsibilities as a son, brother, then a husband and father. Although on paper I’ve accomplished a lot in my career as a scientist, research product developer, manager of people, and government civil servant, I always felt that something was missing. Now, after a year of Dahn practice, I do feel I have a clearer idea of what my purpose in life is; namely, to love myself, my family and others and to try to help them learn how to love themselves. The first step is taking care of one’s health and I’m happy to say that my immediate family is all involved in healthy activities. Therefore, the first part of my vision, to create a peaceful home is close to achievement. I’m also working on ways of helping my co-workers (by convincing the smokers to stop smoking and by teaching a yoga class twice a week for 30 minutes each). Finally, I’ve extended my efforts to the greater community by organizing a Jazz Jam Session which brings people together to share their love of music both as players and listeners. I don’t think I’d be as healthy, happy or peaceful if I hadn’t started this journey a year ago with the Dahn organization and to show my commitment, I’ve become a lifetime member so I can continue my overall growth for decades to come. Thank you Dahn!
