These health tips are posted by: Ilchi Lee

Prof Lee writes everybody has heard about how good a sauna feels, and of the relaxing effect of a steam bath, which bathes you in hot vapor. But there are other heat treatments, which are evenly beneficial.

Warmth relaxes the muscles and ligaments. When applied locally, for instance, with hot towels, it can ease muscle spasms. It can also reduce arthritic pain. Heat dilates the blood vessels, which in turn activates flow.

Practical to a wound, it can prevent infection by helping white blood corpuscles and fresh oxygen surround the area more rapidly.

The Phoenix Project

Phoenix Project is a national initiative devoted to igniting power, passion and a sense of purpose in youth through community service, leadership and body-mind training.

At Phoenix Project we believe that each of us has a calling or drive to become our best self and do our best for the world.

But when our lives are overcome with stress, we can lack the power and energy to heed, or even hear this call… Through a rigorous process of Brain Education System Training (BEST) programs including, Dahn Yoga, Martial Arts (DahnMuDo) and Meditation training, corps members reignite that passion for self-mastery and service, while empowering the communities and organizations they work with, to be their BEST. Corps members training prepares them to teach these exercises and inspire society at large to Awaken to Action. Learn more at www.bethephoenix.org.

Testimonials from past participants (we call them Phoenixi):

“I have always enjoyed the personal growth process, but now I can see how helping others can be good for them, and also a great training ground for my own growth as well.”
– Nate Guadagni, Portland, OR

“When our group went to help out the Headstart (children’s summer day camp) program, I could fully focus on my core and I felt a great love and gratitude… It has made me feel that there is something big in my future.”
– Allison Smith, Boston, MA

“The most valuable and strongest lesson I’ve learned is that I am not young, weak, insignificant, or selfish; I am strong. My vision is becoming clear…and this give me a serene confidence like nothing I have never felt before.”
– Alex Swanson, Seattle, WA

Ki exists everywhere. Ki is light, sound, and vibration.

Ki

Ki

Ki

Ki

Ki

Coming together and drifting apart in an endless flow, Ki is the medium of expression of all phenomena of life.

Not only the objects that surround us, but You and I are all temporary phenomena expressed by a coming together of the Ki flow that will soon dissipate and be on its way again.

From the book ‘Brain Wave Vibration” by ilchi lee

may become an object, phenomenon, or life. is the that cannot be caught by a net. is the life that enjoys absolute freedom and cannot be defined by anything; it is the flow of life itself. exists beyond theories and beyond philosophy. does not exist solely inside a conceptual fence defined by terms such as yin, yang, or the five elements,As in traditional Chinese medicine.

The goal of Brain Wave Vibration is to completely quiet the mind so that the latent powers of the brain can come to the forefront. However, this is not so easy for most people, since there are accustomed to constant, habitual chatter in their minds. Instead of vainly trying to shut off your mind, you can concentrate on a single positive thought. Choose something highly empowering that relates to your personal vision. For example, it could be something as simple as, “I am whole. I am one.” Chant this to yourself, either silently or aloud, as a personal mantra while you practice. Through this process, the vibrations of your own voice will add to the overall effect on your brain waves and will strengthen your transformational intent.

Choosing Happiness
Many people feel that they can only be happy and peaceful when they are given the right circumstances and conditions. However, we can be at peace and be content in this moment now, at this place now. This is our choice. There is nothing that is blocking this choice. Only our thoughts are obscuring this choice. Why can’t we be content and happy without conditions? Enlightenment is a choice that continues from instant to instant, from moment to moment.

Of course, our answer doesn’t automatically become theirs. They will each find their own path in life. It may be vastly different from ours, or it could be one that is an extension of our experience. In either case, having a sincere exchange about our passion and life purpose gives our children confidence. Their trust and respect for us will grow.”

My sincerest wish is to provide tools which aid in the recovery of education, relationships, and harmony between humanity and nature. We carry a deep wish to create a healthier, happier, and more peaceful society. I believe in the power of this wish. I believe that the people who nurture this wish by the choices and actions that stem from their courageous insights make history. The most valuable legacy that we can pass on to future generations is the recovery of our humanity so that they can experience a deeper and more meaningful existence.

Ilchi Lee on Health
Peace“It is now time to acknowledge the ultimate and core value that is capable of encompassing and superceding the partial and prejudicial orientation of the current value systems of the world. It is the one that can become a fulcrum point that will allow balance, harmony, and peaceful coexistence of all people. This is the Earth. The Earth cannot be claimed by any one group or organization regardless of its size or power. If humanity can be said to share one collective vision, it would be peace on Earth. This collective vision may also be our hope for survival in the very near future. To realize that we are all Earth-Humans…this is the key.”

Truth in the intellectual sense in my opinion depends on each individuals perspective on reality.  However I also believe that there are certain truth’s that don’t have any intellectual description but more of a universal feeling that resonates in all people.  For instance we are all one.  There is no intellectual way to describe this to everyones satifaction yet but the mention of this truth stirs something in the hearts of all people.

How would you describe the difference between the true mind and the false mind?  First we would have to establish a concrete definition of what is the mind.  Where it resides and what role does it play in our lives.  Is it tangible?  Then we should figure out what false and what is true for human beings.

You might ask what is one-ness.  One-ness is the big-bang theory.  One-ness is let there be light.  One-ness is great-way of all things.  One-ness is described many ways.  Choose the one that you feel the most connected to and your journey can begin there.

Ilchi Lee teaches that in order to train the brain you need hard physical training.  And when you feel pain you need to keep going and feel the pain.  Pain is just a signal that says “now you are growing”.  Beyond the pain there is great benefit for you.  The pain is just information and when you can manage and control your pain you can manage and control your brain.  When you can do this process several times your brain changes from a weak brain to a strong brain.  this is how to grow your soul and how to heal your body. “The true joy of your soul can only be earned through experience”.

It was thought at one time that as you age your brain gets more hard wired and unable to easily grasp new concepts or to form new habits.  Our brains access the parts that are continuously used.  So if we change our routines our brain changes.  With conscious decisions creating changes in our lives produces a more flexible brain.  So break your routine and take new streets on your way to work.  Your brain will shift as well.
